01 Security from the Beginning<\/b><\/h4>\n

As a relatively young and agile fintech, Altoo has a significant advantage over large, longer-established financial institutions when it comes to data security. Since our founding in 2017, we have incorporated an awareness of modern cyber security threats into our business processes and technical infrastructure. 02 Strong Encryption Everywhere<\/b><\/h4>\n

If our customers look closely, they will see an encryption symbol in their browsers when accessing the Platform, indicating that their connection is encrypted. All forms of activity are secure, from communications to dashboard views. Also, all sensitive data is kept in encrypted storage, and multi-factor authentication is required for access. <\/span><\/p>\n

03 Black and Grey Box Vulnerability Testing<\/b><\/h4>\n

Our software development process addresses multiple aspects of security. For example, we run  automated tests not only for quality assurance but also to explicitly test security logic.  We have implemented vulnerability testing via both a so-called black box approach \u2013 which involves assuming that attackers have no knowledge of our systems \u2013 as well as a grey box approach that assumes attackers have valid login credentials. The Altoo Wealth Platform also utilises an advanced authorization mechanism. <\/span><\/p>\n

04 Immediate Detection of Intrusions<\/b><\/h4>\n

The Altoo Wealth platform\u2019s intrusion detection system instantly recognises brute force attacks and automatically bans IPs misused in these attacks. With multiple network firewalls in place at our data centre and office, we further add hurdles to any intruder who would harm our data or spread ransomware. Additionally, we use separate hardware stacks for our production environment, test instances, and a wide range of other internal functionalities. <\/span><\/p>\n

05 Team Training and Equipment  <\/b><\/h4>\n

All Altoo team members undergo regular training to raise their awareness of cyber threats and ensure that their systems are up to date with the latest security patches. All their business devices are required to have client\/endpoint security software installed, with usage continuously monitored.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

06 Switzerland as a Base<\/b><\/h4>\n

The Altoo Wealth Platform is built and maintained exclusively in Switzerland. The base layer of our information security architecture, our physical hardware, is secured in a professional, tier 3 data centre that makes unauthorised access virtually impossible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, all of our close knit team is based in Switzerland so as to ensure quick, cohesive responses and information sharing in case of potential cyberattacks. Switzerland itself is well known for its political stability and low levels of corruption, making it an ideal location for ensuring security from any threat, digital or otherwise.   <\/span><\/p>\n
